Simon studied Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture and the Royal College of Art. On qualifying he joined Foster and Partners, where he worked until 2005, becoming a Partner within the studio.
Simon established Simon Bowden Architecture in 2011, with the ambition of growing a team interested in developing a more crafted form of architecture, focussed on the end user experience and with a clear traceability of components from the factory to the completed building.
In 2019, along with his partners Marc Fleming and David Correia, he restructured the company into E8 Architecture, born out of reimagining what a 21st century design studio should be. Based in London but with team members located globally, the studio maximises the opportunities offered by global communication and outreach. This new structure ensures the practice is more effective in delivering the signature designs it is known for.
