STITCHING TOGETHER THE URBAN FABRIC

Client: Nest Sector: Mixed Use/ Residential Area: 500,000 sqft Value: Confidential Status: Building Permit

This project comprises the sensitive restoration of 4 buildings of historical significance, into prime residential buildings, grouped around a new garden square. In addition 2 new buildings stitch together the urban fabric to create a new cohesive masterplan, with clearly defined routes and spaces. One of these new buildings is a creche.

The apartments are designed to provide the latest thinking in luxury planning - with defined front of house and back of house areas, generous outdoor spaces and plentiful daylight.

Whilst the restored buildings utilise a traditional material palette, the new buildings are built from a palette of ceramic and cast aluminium, sympathetic but contrasting with the historical context.
